They are running fillers because the show is too close to the manga so they need to separate it a bit.

they should just hold a good filler for about 15 episodes… like they did with the bountu thing, so that they can continue with the show without anoying us with eipsode long fillers…

well i also hate fillers :S i dun understand why they always push the story to the next great battle and start fillers then…. they really should run those BEFORE getting into a big fight; not throw them into story when they r alrdy fighting!!! atleast its not a bad 1 but still sucks…

I agree, this one is at least interesting. That dorky super power one for the geeks in the real world was soooo stupid. Yeah, Kenpachi may just come in and kick some butt. At the same time it looks like Ichigo’s may have taken a different turn. So perhaps he may come in and show the rest of these clowns how to work with your Zanpaktou, even if it has a mind of it’s own.

remember. just cause zaraki doesnt use his shikai doesnt mean it doesnt exists. it could want freedom too, and if it is there its probably very pissed. hell, who says that the one that freed them all COULD be zaraki’s zampaktu. its possible …

well, you can’t blame them for the fillers. when the anime comes too close to the manga storyline, they have to distance themselves by making fillers. Try making your own manga, i think by volume 2 you die already. its hard, not easy and stop complaining.

So far it’s the best filler idea being introduced. There are some open questions like what happened to the old man, who is that new guy, which part Aizen takes in the masquerade, how Ichigo & co. will make their entrance to this story & so on. Hopefully it won’t degrade to the senseless filler arc.

@quell: Though Soi Fon (the girl with the purple hair) does have a lot of skill, we are talking about zampaktou’s that have a whole load of DIFFERENT types of power…. She could put up a good fight, but I’m not sure she’d be enough :S… As for the commander being the one behind this… I’m not so sure :S he seemed pretty alert when these guys (those who opened the spell and all that) popped up… but who knows :S these are just guesses
