ep.69 wasn’t as funny as it was serious.
I was actually expecting after defeating Nirvana, there would be an episode or 2 that would be just for fun. An entertaining filler! But no. It just goes straight to another serious scene.

It is unbelievable what just happen in Japan. Mega earth quake, Tsunami, Volcano, and with two nuclear power plants… If I were a believer I would say, we have 2012 :/

At least in Japan. I hope the maximum credible accident will not happen. The area and hundred of thousand people would be contaminated with radiation. The land for hundred of thousand of years contaminated. (in one plant is powered with a mixture of plutonium!) People die with extreme pain or will suffer cancer etc.

I remeber Chernobyl as a Kid (live in Europe), it was not funny and mushrooms are still contaminated for example (after 25 years). And all what I have read it is probably already on that level.

the events in Jpan are tragic however japan has suffered a nuclear disaster before and recovered from it I belive that they would recover from this cataclysm too

I think Daphney is to similar to Ultear.. If u compare them, u could see the recemblance… That could have something to do with Gray, BUT! The reason i think gray is doing this, is that he WANTS Natsu down in that silent hole for something that has to do with a dragon or something, and that hes just playing Daphney xD

So far ive actually been quite pleased with FT fillers as they are usually funny and all, but i have 2 say i almost fell asleep watching this episode, the fight is so boring and full of crap and the sub battles were also kinda crappy this time, but then again thats just my opinion

that’s not true… episode 69 is so cool all of the episode don’t need funny moments, they have the past that they have to solve it, if they were funny or sad moments, its part of the anime , if there’s only happy episode’s the anime will be boring you all must know that

im a fan of an anime, i only interested in fairy tail, because its totally rock..
long live creator of fairy tail……….

Although your English is horrible, I totally agree with your first comment. You don’t need to have comic relief all the time. Like you said, if an anime was all happy and silly all the time, it would be hard to find truly entertaining for most people. In my opinion, an anime needs the sad or emotional moments to drive the story. The main reasons I hate fillers in a lot of animes is actually because there is too much silliness.
