Oh crap…I already read the manga and it was epic. But watching it all happen in animation…the feeling…it’s too hard to explain. And the music while Ed was beating the crap out of father added to the emotion.

i agree this sub is crap. For the subber of this episode, i appreciate that you take the time to sub but this is a very popular anime, and you had RUNIED the whole show for bad subbing. I suggest that since you are bad in subbing, sub those anime that is not popular at all. Or else you would anger a whole lot of FMA FANS.

And to the uploader of this anime, i would rather you not upload at all and wait for a better sub before you upload. I getting annoyed watching FMA with this kind of crappy subbing standard. I would rather wait for a few days more for a better sub than this rubbish. Don’t forget you are uploading a very popular anime, so subbing must be good or else the whole show no matter how nice will be RUINED. If you like to upload crappy anime sub, then i don’t care if you upload those not popular anime, but not this standard.

Guys…due to the length of the final chapter, they had to increase the series length from the original 63 to 64.

These subs weren’t the worst I’ve seen, but they obviously weren’t done by someone who knows the series. Sure, the literal translation of the original title is “Alchemist of Steel” but even BONES use “Fullmetal Alchemist”…and Al would not call Ed “Dude” xD Luckily, when grammar or translation failed, my brain didn’t. Still an amazing episode!

The subs weren’t up to par, surely. However, I appreciate them all the same since I know what they’re actually supposed to be while taking the awkward sentencing and bending it to my knowledge of the storyline, also being able to pick out bits of wording from the speech itself while comparing it to the subs provided was easy.

But dude, Al calling Ed, “Dude,” did make me giggle a little bit. I’m sure I’ll rewatch this when pro-subs come out.

Did no one else notice toward the beginning when he spawned King Xerxes and then blew them all away, Hohenheim yelled “Drugs” according to the shitty subber?

Bad subtitles? I wish I could agree…but if we’re talking about any show in particular, it would have be Star Wars’ “Return of the Jedi”. The Chinese pirates translated it and printed it on the box as “Backstroke of the West”. XD

Better subs are better.

For reference people – watch the alternative! There’s only one mistake I noticed, but it’s easy to figure out….unlike the last one.
