Actually they are fighting against those who conquer japan. that is the only country that is available to live on. this is just based on my opinion from what I’ve read. I think im wrong but lets wait for the next episodes to clear things up XD

I already knew from the comments from the previous episodes but you guys are idiots lol. The Honda guy died a warrior’s death because all he did was fulfill his master’s wishes like a proper Samurai. Moreover the “country” they destroyed were their own, and if anything it were the Spanish/Italian guys who were invading Japan.

You guys need to pay attention to the details before claiming that there is not plot. They already explained in episode 2 that because of an catastrophic event, Japan was the only inhabitable place left. Thus all other countries split the land into territories and took away Japan’s authority. Muneshige is part of the Spanish forces who stole lands from Japan while enforcing so-called rules. Which is why he isn’t exactly on the “good side”.

@R Well the scumbags from the West invaded Japan and divided its territory. So if anyone’s a scumbag it’d be the blondie who works for the Spanish forces.

Why does everyone think he basically nuked another town/country? They destroyed their own town with no one in it. The idea is to take back Japan from the other countries who invaded it 200 years earlier. Theyre trying to break away from Testiment who stole their country from them. Does that make them the bad guys?
