you sound ridiculous, fillers are made so you dont get bored of the main story line? some of the best animes iv ever watched were because they had no fillers.. like Kenichi, Gantz and Deathnote.. anyways I can see it being to let the manga get farther, its just a shame they cant release the manga’s just as fast as anime, that’d keep the manga ahead

The fillers are needed so it dont catch up with the manga and the manga has some of these fillers in it too. Some of the fillers that arent in the main story do suck but the others are needed to tell the backstory on what is about to happen and add to final outcome of the whole story

For the manga wise, I can only say the anime is not too far neither close to the manga chapters..
From what I heard, the manga will probably end in around 200 chapters (not sure is true or not)..
The manga have already show the war scene where Madara have both Rinnegan and Sharingan. He’s able to revive a massive arm including the Akatsuki dead members such as Pain and even Itachi.
Well for the battles between Sasuke and Naruto wasnt shown yet.. However, the battle between Itachi and Naruto did occur.. One more thing that Kabuto was killed by Itachi after he was revived by Kabuto. Opps.. Too much spoilers.. :X
Hope this would help giving an idea to those who are wondering how far the manga is..
For anime wise, Naruto has yet to start his training with the 8 Tails..

Yeah, I like the idea of Itachi (the crow he planted into Naruto was awesome). Was surprised when I found out what that was . Except for these kinda fillers which complete Naruto`s jurney, we have a lot we can look forward to!

Is it me or is this shaping up to be the “Why Naruto Needs At Least One Lightning Jutsu” arc? These giant sea creatures are starting become pretty standard for Naruto fillers.

The reason behind fillers are simple, they need more time to put the extra effort into the progressing story episodes, especially when we approach big events or fights. Thats why they put in fillers, to entertain us while they work on them. Me personally would just want them to stop making fillers, and just spend that time making the storyline episodes instead. That would improve the episodes even more, and id rather go a week without naruto, than watching a wasted filler tbh

fillers are only fillers if they don’t keep up with the manga story line. stories about background etc, which also occur in the manga,aren’t called fillers in my definition. Fillers like these pretty much suck because they haven’t got the depth of the original story, but they ARE needed. It’s not because naruto would be ‘over’ if it wasn’t for fillers, as the manga also isn’t over yet, but they wouldn’t be able to release a new episode every week if it wasn’t for fillers.
