Plot Summary: At a young age, Nitaroh is stricken with an illness that leaves him blind. He inherits the shamisen guitar once used by his mother and is taught its basics by a blind travelling shamisen player. In time with the help of friends old and new, he walks the paths that leads to his ultimate fate - that of founder of the Tsugaru style of shamisen play.

very dull… very very very dull. will only interest hardcore (and i mean hardcore) music history fans. may also only appeal to japanese people

If you mean with dull that the movie lacks any action, then yes. If you watch an anime solely for the action sequences, then this movie is not suited for you.

However, I had the patience to sit through the whole movie without having to feel irritated. Perhaps the lexical fields intrigued me.

In a nutshell, this movie is a cultural anime movie, with rather shabby voice actors, but quite a heartwarming story about chasing dreams.

hardcore music history fans? not at all i loved this movie… very dull? i would call it relaxing but it is true u need some patience for this but it was well worth it.
