The thing is, if you think from Ace’s perspective, what he did was perfect. He HAD To sacrifice himself to save Luffy because there wasnt enough means/time to stop magma dude any other way, (or was there?), which means it was either Luffy or Ace dead. Obv its better to be Ace. Also, Ace had realised his dream and succeeded. Also, Ace died with his father (Whitebeard). In truth, the only person that really had a dream was Luffy, to become pirate King, and so his dream continues, and this way all the more reason for him to succeed and to whipe out the corrupt government. I just wish Garp had been the one to almost kill Magma Akainu. I also cant stop thinking about Sabo, maybe he is alive? How strong would he be? Maybe he got better than Ace and has haki? The most thing I dont understand is how did Akainu not get cut when Marco and the sword guy used haki to attack him wtf? isnt haki better than logia? wtf? and what happens if logia user also has haki? fuck? i look forward to Luffy vs a logia admiral.

Like.. come on, yes, lava is WAY hotter than fire… BUT it’s his element combined with his haki that allowed him to get passed Ace and killed him. Besides.. if he would have simply get away by turning into fire, Luffy would have died. Clearly Ace was happy with his dead, he protected Luffy, and saw his “Father” once again. (He smiled at his death, like any other D. decendent would have) I think it’s best to let Ace rest… Even thought… He was pretty badass… D:

Theres also the fact that Ace was imprisoned for quite a long time before he was saved by Luffy. Even Garp asked him if he was still alive when he saw how he looked in impel Down. It is quite likely that he was fighting in a very weakened state, which begs the question, could he have taken out magma Akainu in his rested state?

I dont think Ace has armament Haki, thought the admirals do have haki. Also, Ace didnt have to die, technically, all he had to do was dematerialise the middle of his abdomen and use the rest of his body to stop akainu’s body that wasnt magmafied. Nonetheless, he was in a weakened state and was desperate, perhaps there wasnt time to do it. In the end, I still think his death was necessary, as Mr. Who Cares said. Its time for Luffy to turn the world upside down, and make it more JUST at the same time. now for 1 week of med study, till next week ppl

@Ace.. Wrong.. Akainu could use haki and Ace couldnt or just didnt know how to.. When you combined haki with a devil fruit power, you can hurt some one that just uses a devil fruit power..

But yes.. Ace did have to die for Luffy to be able to grow..

Cut the Whitebeard pirates some slack! They managed to cripple one of the four strongest Marine officers to the point where he almost fell to his death.
You have to acknowledge that even normal humans in the One Piece world have inhuman amounts of damage resistence.
Usopp alone, who by in-universe standards is a “normal human” with only his excellent sniping skills and his inventor’s ingenuity to his merit, has repeatedly survived blows that would have killed a lesser man a dozen times over. Think about how he looked at the end of the Alabasta arc or after his fight with Luffy on Water 7.
Considering those, Akainu’s wounds don’t seem all that deadly.

man the thing I dont like about one piece is that they drag out EVERY fucking episode out, even the marine ford battles got annoying, it just keeps showing the same shit; ie) normal soldiers fighting, or in these flash backs the nobles saying that the others are scum.
We get it for fucks sakes you dont need to show us 10 mins of that shit EVERY episode

every OP episode:
-5 mins: intro and that gay thing about gold roger
-10 mins: showing pointless secondary characters that youll never see again talking about the same shit over and over
-5 mins: of actual story/decent fighting
