Actually he possesses King’s Haki which makes him the strongest character. Those who have this Haki(similar to Chi/inner strength) are the ones who make allies and friends, such as Luffy, Whitebeard, Gol D Roger and others.

Now why is this not a part of the main story. This alone could have been the best arc in One Piece so far.Usopp must have been giving Luffy some lessons to handle a giant gun like that. That was the most epic attack Luffy has used yet!

No, the marines has like awesome logiapowers wich makes them partially dead things that Shiki can controll with his gravity-powers and thats why shiki can fight with them. Still,Luffy was made of rubber and living. That means that he can land a punch as if it would be a normal human he was fighting with. There´s your answear.
PS.Akainus powers is lava lava fruit, whitebeard and Ace dies and Shanks saves them at the last minute. Now I´ve ruined exitement for a couple of episodes. Have fun.

Oh man this movie was realy epic. This was till now one of the best anime-movies I saw. I realy hope that the war with the marine will be as awsome as this battle. Can´t wait to see it already. Nami was realy sexy in her bikini =)

guys, Luffy is that strong, because he gets friends and allies all the time, it is even explained in the manga. “The abilty to befriendship anyone he sees is the most dangerous ability in the entire world.” – So i ask, if he constantly gets more and more allies, and in the meantime sharpens his techniques, he WILL become strong himself. And Shiki is that strong, because he has these powers. I hope you saw that he completely wiped them all at first, they survived and they got the feeling how to beat him, and the beating was in the air, so he couldnt use the earth to kill Luffy and co.
Guys, next time please know what you are talking about, instead of posting useless comments.

Shiki needs objects to beat people when your flying in the air there is nothing to use. Who wants to watch an anime where they win every single fight? The main reason Luffy lost in the first fight was because he wasn’t serious and never went into Second or Third Gear.
